Sherene Lim is Business Management Executive working in the Petrochemical Industry. She is happily married with active kids running around the house. She started photography when she picked up a DSLR about a year ago. She says Photography has taught her to see and feel how unique emotion, life style, culture, object and surroundings can be. Capturing the mood of what we can sense and feel and transferring it into something visual which can later be shared with friends and family is one of the most satisfying aspects of photography for her.
Photography can tell stories, and Sherene says she loves this story telling sessions with her kids, spouse, family and friends. Visual leaves more impact than merely words and this is especially so with kids. She understands however, it is not easy to make a photo tell a story, as this requires compositional skills, planning, understanding, experience and some connection with the subject. She says that the Siem Reap PhotoSafari has helped her to acquire some of these skills.
