Linus Liew

Linus Liew was born in Malaysia but raised in Britain. From a young age, however, he has never been able to keep his spirit for adventure still, and always sees the world as one with a never-ending invite to explore his wonders. His parents are from both the East and the West, creating the blend we see here, and not many have ever been to correctly guess what he misers are. Spending 5 years in China, and now living in his birth city of Kuala Lumpur, he has a great understanding, affinity and connection to not only Asia but also to the vast other parts of this amazing and diverse planet.

Linus says. “Yusuf and Maxby have introduced me to a whole new world of expression and observation. Having a job that takes me around the world, I see this newly found creativity as a great tool which I can use not only to get better understanding of the world we live in today, but also to show friends, and anyone else who would care to see my pictures, what a wonderful world this planet is. We need to take good care of it, so that our children’s children and those that come after them , will still get to savour its mystique and beauty. God forbid if the unthinkable should ever happen, photography will be there, to leave our descendents, what a wonderful world this little planet is.”

From this small portfolio of pictures by Linus Liew, we get a glimpse of the other side of Angkor that the not so sensitive, will never notice.
