Lai Jian Shin is a Sales and Service Engineer by profession. Due to the nature of his work, which allowed him to travel frequently to many beautiful and picturesque countries, he began taking an interest in documenting his travels, starting off with a point and shoot camera. He wasn’t happy with his pictures, and without taking time to understand the finer aspects of photography, and following the widely believed concept that the better the camera you have, the better the pictures you’ll take, he bought himself a DSLR and a myriad of lenses. In his own words, he said that what followed was a hit and miss adventure, with plenty more misses than hits. Fast forward to 2009 when he decided to stop procrastinating, picked up some literature, attended some classes and began to transform himself from a holiday snapper into a thinking photographer.
