What to expect?

PhotoSafari is organizing a Cebu Photosafari cum Photography workshop to one of the loveliest places in Cebu, Malapascua Island’s Exotic Dive Resort. This Resort is owned by one of our PMPE Alumni Member.

This Exotic Dive Resort has much to offer in terms of photography. Two fishing villages and a quaint Malapascua Town flanks it. Crystal clear waters surround the island. The people on this island are friendly and hospitable and some of the residents worked in the resort.

The waters around Malapascua are famous of its Thresher Sharks.  This place is reputed to be the only place in the world where one can see thresher sharks on a regular basis.

We will also be photographing the Taboan Fish Market and the Paradise Village on Mactan Island when we stay in Cebu City. You will be amazed by the variety of subjects and situations these two locations have to offer.

We will be spending 2 nights on this Exotic Dive Resort and 1 night in Cebu City.

This trip is tailored to beginners in photography. It will assist you to kick-start your hobby with hands-on photography experience on location.  You will be given pointers on how to compose a good photo, how to shoot good landscape, travel, documentary and street photos. We will be taking you to shoot various subjects and situations as we go along. You will be shown how to shoot various photography situations like side lighting, back lighting, natural lighting, indoor, silhouettes, sports, sunrise, sunsets and other exciting situations that you only read about in books or the internet.

However, if you are a seasoned PMPE member, do come and join us in our shoot to some of the best travel, landscape, documentary and street photography locations in Philippines. Alternatively you can also join in one of the diving trips organized by the Resort or go Island hoping to see Cora’s newly developed Resort. Ms Cora will be there waiting for you to visit her. She will be our host for this trip on the Island.

Itinerary

2^nd July

21:20 – Fly by Cebu Pacific to Cebu City

3^rd July

1:20 – arrives in Cebu and transfer to Malapascua Island

6:00 – Check-in to hotel

7:00 – Breakfast.

7:00-9:00 – shoot at fishing village

9:00-13:00 – rest

13:00-14:00 – lunch

14:00-16:00 – Sensor cleaning, fine AF adjustment for lenses, use of off camera flash and checking of exposure meter accuracies.

16:00- 18:30 – shooting at Malapascua town and sunset.

18:30-20:00 – dinner

20:00-22:00 – Composition techniques and Landscape photography

4^th July

5:50 – wake up call

6:00-8:00 – sunrise shoot and visit fishing village

8:00-9:00 – breakfast

9:00-12:30 – Street and Travel photography

12:30-13:30 – lunch

13:30-16:00- rest

16:00-18:30 – shooting at fishing village and sunset on Island

19:00-20:00 – dinner

20:00-22:00 – photo sharing session

5^th July

5:30 – wake up call

6:00 – 7:30 – sunrise on Malapascua Island

7:30-8:30 – breakfast

8:30 – check out of hotel

9:00-14:00- back to Cebu City

14:00-15:00 – lunch

15:00 – check-in hotel

15:00-16:00 – rest

16:00 – 18:30 – Taboan Market

18:30 – 20:00 – dinner

20:00 – free and easy

6^th July

6:00 – wake up

7:00-8:00 – breakfast

8:00 – checkout of hotel
