Yesterday I wrote about wedding photographers stealing pictures from other photographers and use it as their own.  Today, in the news is the wedding photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Pitt & Jolie have donated their wedding photos exclusively to Getty Images and the proceeds of the sale will be donated to Maddox: Jolie-Pitt Foundation. It is estimated that these images will be worth around USD2.0 million.

NEW YORK CITY—Sept. 2, 2014—Global media company Getty Images and the Jolie-Pitt Foundation are partnering on exclusive distribution of photographs of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s August 23 wedding, with all proceeds going to support the foundation’s vital work, Getty Images Co-Founder and CEO Jonathan Klein said today. The photographs, shot by David James, were published exclusively today by Hello and People magazines.

“Getty Images believes that pictures can save lives and change the world. We are contributing all licensing fees to support the work of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation,” Klein said. “Getty Images is a longtime supporter of international health and development efforts and has generated significant funds to support the foundation’s global endeavors over the years.”
