Bungamati is a small Newari village in Kathmandu famous for its wood and metal crafts. It is about 10km out of Kathmandu. You can find old Nepalese architecture populating the village. It is another village that time has not touched it for a few centuries. The people there are very friendly and you can buy wood and metal crafts directly from the craftsman. If you are a photographer visiting Kathmandu, this place is worth a visit.
