It is a season of rejuvenation and is ideal for exploring both the natural beauty and cultural richness of Pakistan, especially in areas like Hunza where the landscape comes alive. Highlights:

  1. Historic Taxila: Delve into the ancient ruins of Taxila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing the rich heritage of the Gandhara civilization, offering a glimpse into the region’s Buddhist past.

It was here where the famed Tang Dynasty monk, Zuan Xang came to collect the Buddhist scriptures.

  1. Sacred Journey on the Karakoram Highway: Embark on a spiritual journey along the legendary Karakoram Highway, traversing landscapes imbued with historical significance, connecting you with the ancient trade routes of the Silk Road.

Explorers had been here in search of the mystical place call “Shangri-La” which had inspired author James Hilton’s book “The Lost Horizon”. It is here that one can catch a glimpse of the famous mountain peak, Nanga Parbat, (8,126m)

The flights schedules for Spring in 2025 is not published yet. We are using the indicated rates in 2024. There is a direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Islamabad.

The difficulty is easy to moderate. There are few places of visit which needs some short walks.

Itinerary

Day 1: 16th April – Arrival in Islamabad (Altitude: 1,769 ft)

Upon late-night arrival in Islamabad, guests are transferred to their hotel for an overnight stay, preparing for an exciting journey ahead.

Day 2: 17th April Taxila Exploration and Drive to Bisham (Altitude: 2,000 ft, Avg. Drive: 6-7 hrs)

Explore the ancient ruins of Taxila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcasing the rich history of Gandhara civilization. Then, embark on a picturesque drive to Bisham for overnight stay.

Day 3: 18th April Bisham to Raikot/Chilas (Altitude: 3,290 ft – 4,372 ft, Avg. Drive: 10-12 hrs)

Travel along the legendary Karakoram Highway, marveling at the rugged landscapes and making brief stops for refreshments and lunch. Arrive in Raikot/Chilas for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: 19th April Raikot/Chilas to Karimabad Hunza (Altitude: 8,200 ft – 8,500 ft, Avg. Drive: 6-7 hrs)

Experience breathtaking stopovers at the confluence of three mighty mountain ranges and the ancient Silk Route remnants. Arrive in Karimabad Hunza, offering majestic views of Rakaposhi Peak. Enjoy leisure time at the hotel.

Day 5: 20th April Full Day in Hunza (Altitude: 8,200 ft – 8,500 ft)

Explore the vibrant Karimabad Bazaar, Baltit Fort, and Altit Fort, showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage. Visit Duikar for panoramic views of the valley and snow-capped peaks. Overnight stay in Karimabad or Duikar.

Day 6: 21st April Karimabad to Attabad Lake via Hopper and Gulmit (Altitude: 7,800 ft – 8,500 ft, Avg. Drive: 3-4 hrs)

Visit Hopper Village and Glacier, followed by a scenic drive to Attabad Lake.

Enjoy a boat tour and visit Gulmit village for a glimpse into local life and carpet weaving. Return to Attabad Lake for overnight stay.

Day 7: 22nd April Exploration of Ghulkin, Hussaini, Borith, and Passu (Altitude: 7,800 ft – 8,500 ft, Avg. Drive: 3-4 hrs)

Discover picturesque villages and landmarks, including Borith Lake and the iconic Hussaini Suspension Bridge. Marvel at the majestic Passu Cones before returning to Attabad Lake for overnight stay.

Day 8: 23rd April Visit to Khunjerab Pass and Return to Attabad Lake (Altitude: 15,397 ft, Avg. Drive: 6-7 hrs)

Set out on a memorable journey to Khunjerab Pass, the highest border crossing in the world. Capture stunning photographs before returning to Attabad Lake for overnight stay.

Day 9: 24th April Relaxation Day in Attabad Lake and Travel to Gilgit (Altitude: 7,800 ft – 8,500 ft, Avg. Drive: 5-6 hrs)

Enjoy a leisurely morning at Attabad Lake, capturing scenic views and taking photographs. Depart for Gilgit, where guests can explore Kargah Buddha before checking in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10: 25th April  Gilgit to Islamabad

Day 11: 26th April  Islamabad to Peshawar

Note: In case of flight cancellation on Day 9, drive from Gilgit to Bisham on that day, and then on Day 10 drive from Bisham to Peshawar. Explore Takht Bhai and Peshawar Qissa Khwani Bazaar, etc. (flights along this route is subject to weather and other factors)

Set out on a scenic drive from Islamab-d/Bisham to Peshawar, the bustling cultural hub of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Along the way, make a stop at Takht Bhai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved Buddhist ruins dating back to the 1st century BCE. Explore the ancient monastery complex, marveling at its intricate architecture and historical significance.

Continue your journey to Peshawar, where you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Qissa Khwani Bazaar, known as the “Storytellers’ Bazaar,” and discover the city’s rich cultural heritage. Check into your hotel in Peshawar for an overnight stay, ready to explore more of the city’s treasures tomorrow.

Day 12: 27th April  Peshawar to Lahore

Set out on a picturesque drive from Peshawar to Lahore, traversing through diverse landscapes and soaking in the natural beauty of the Pakistani countryside. As you journey towards Lahore, take in the sights of lush green fields, rugged mountains, and quaint villages dotting the landscape. Pause along the way to savor local delicacies and interact with friendly locals, enriching your travel experience. Upon arrival in Lahore, check into your accommodation and unwind after a day of travel, eager to explore the cultural delights of Lahore tomorrow.

Day 13: 28th April Explore Lahore

Start a captivating exploration of Lahore, beginning with a visit to the magnificent Badshahi Mosque, an architectural marvel of the Mughal era adorned with intricate marble and towering minarets. Explore the grandeur of Lahore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history and adorned with exquisite Mughal architecture.

Wander through the narrow alleyways of the Walled City, where every corner tells a story of Lahore’s rich heritage and cultural diversity. Visit the enchanting Wazir Khan Mosque, renowned for its stunning tile work and vibrant frescoes that adorn its walls, offering a glimpse into the artistic brilliance of the Mughal era. Return to your hotel in Lahore for a well-deserved rest, reflecting on the day’s adventures and cultural discoveries.

Day 14: 29th April  Lahore-Islamabad (7 hrs)

After breakfast, depart from Lahore at around 8:30 AM for a Rohtas Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its historical significance and architectural grandeur.  located approximately 200 kilometers away. Expect a travel time of around 3-4 hours, including stops. Arrive at Rohtas Fort by midday for exploration. Spend 2-3 hours exploring the fort’s historic architecture and picturesque surroundings before continuing your journey to Islamabad in the afternoon.

Day 15: 30th April Airport transfer for international departure
